Why is PowerPoint running slow on my laptop? On my desktop, it works fine. On
my laptop, 3 or 4 seconds pass before a typed character appears on screen.
Loading a presentation from disk takes over a minute, and then takes 15-20
seconds to change from slide to slide. Editing isn't possible--Powerpoint
goes to "not responding" and then into compatiblity mode.
