I tried grouping two images. I just selected both the images and right click
and I get the group option enable. Am I missing something how you did it?

Hi,
even I am getting the same option, but in my case the group/ ungropu option
in the menu is disabled. I need to enable the option so as to click on it.

I guess there has to be a setting needed for it, which I am unaware of.

Dipak

You cannot ungroup a picture.

You can group a picture with SOME other items but not all.

eg you cannot group text in placeholders with a picture (or anything else)
nor a picture with a table. Is this perhaps what you are trying to do.

Please indicate the version of PowerPoint in any reply

Hi John,

well, I am trying to just group two pictures. I am using powerpoint 2007.
However I was able to do so using powerpoint 2003.

But in case of Powerpoint 2007, the option is not active. There has to be
some settign to enable the same...

Not that I'm aware of. Are you sure that none of the pictures are in
placeholders? You won't be able to group placeholders.

Hi Deepak,

I think you inserted picture using photo album.
I tried to insert two pictures using Picture button in 2007 and group
two images. Group menu is enabled. Later I tried using photo album. I
have one picture from photo album and another picture or both pictures
from photo album. When I try to group it, group menu is not enabled.

Thanks,
Vinod
