How can I copy a drawing created in PowerPoint 2007 into Word 2007 as a
drawing? It seems that it is being copied as a picture. i would like to edit
the drawing in Word 2007.

PowerPoint 2007 and Word 2007 use different drawing engines. PPT's is a new
one, Word's is the old one. So I don't think you can do what you want.
Hopefully this will be corrected in Office 14 and they'll both use the same
engine.

You might try copying in PPT and Paste Special as EMF in Word. Then ungroup
the EMF.

Thanks a lot for the reply! With "Paste Special" as EMF, the quality of
drawing is much better. However it still does not let me edit it. I should be
able work around my problem with this though.

Glad to hear it will work as a workaround, Amit. If you ungroup the object
in Word (you may have to ungroup it twice), you should be able to edit it
there -- at least somewhat.
