Transition Issues in PP07

I love the new choices for transitions in the new Power Point.  However,
during the transitions, there is always a stark colored (color of my choice,
and I've tried several) circle, diamond, pinwheel, etc preceding the
picture.  This is very disruptive to the flow and to the eye.  When I
checked my older slide shows, the transitions went right from picture to
picture.  Is there anyway to accomplish this in 07?  I hope the question is
clear.  Thanks.  CT

PS. the slide show runs itself.  I do not use the "on click" feature.

Maybe I'm totally wrong but I was under the impression that Transitions (and
animation - there's no pinwheel transition AFAIK) were the same in 2007 as in
2002/3?
