Hi Glen, thanks for the speedy reply.
No local printer installed (not counting Microsoft's own Doc Imaging Writer
and
PDFCreator's software based printers), only network based.
Thanks,
Daniel
Hi,
Install one proper printer and set it as default. Then see if the problem
continues. PowerPoint spends ages looking for printers that are networked
and can slow down considerably.

Hi again,
Unfortunately atm I don't have the opportunity to install a local printer. Is
there another test I can do?
Thanks,
Daniel

You can try changing hardware acceleration. Yours doesn't sound like the
problems usually solved by this, but it's a pretty painless thing to try.

Hi again Glen,
Problem solved. I didn't install a local printer as you suggested, but
taking the
same suggestion as a basis, I removed the logon script from the profile,
logged
in and the Auto-shapes worked perfectly. Re-inserted the script in the
profile, logged back in and it kept on working just fine. Thanks for the help
and tips.
Also thanks to Echo S for your reply. Didn't get to try it out, but I
appreciate it.
Take care,
Daniel
