PPT 2003 Playing tracks from CD

Hi,
I am trying to play a CD track in my presentation. I click insert, movies
and sounds, play track from cd and then in the cd dialog I select the track I
want to start (3) and to end (3). When I run my PPT it doesnt play. It
works in Win Media Player. Any suggestions?

Vicky,

I don't think there is a way to insert track from audio cd to PPT if version
is less than 2007. In PPT2007 we have option for inserting from audio cd. So
I guess you have to rip the track and insert the music. You can use Win Media
Player itself to rip or you can use other common softwares too.

Vicky,

I am sorry I was wrong. You need to specify the time also along with the
track.

does it play when you start by 3 and end by 4?

No it doesnt. I tried that.
And, PPT automatically puts in the time.

Can't you change the time to the music time? from 0 to 3:30:00 or so

Do you have two CD/DVD drives? If so, you might try the other one.

No, I dont, but when I play it on another computer, works just fine. Is it my
CD Drive? It does work, but spins loudly.

If it works on another computer, then yeah, I'd say it's something to do
with your drive. Unfortunately, I've no idea what! :-) You might check your
computer manufacturer and see if there are updated drivers for it.
