Lost all slide formatting

When I opened ppt today I noticed that all slide formats are missing,
including bullets, title font and placement, etc. I am unable to add bullets
to the master slide because it thinks they are already there. Every ppt file
appears to be corrupted. How can I recover the formatting of all my ppt files?
