I don't even know if this is a powerpoint, mouse or computer question.
Here goes....
I use ppt 2003. I often select several objects by right clicking on the
object and then holding down the control button and then selecting other
objects. I use this for animating several objects at the same time,
alligning etc.
I recently bought a new HP computer. I loaded the SAME ppt program.
However when I do what I described above, a box comes up asking if I want to
copy or move the item. I cancel it and try again. When I select all the
objects again to allign etc. It makes a copy of them. If I have selected 5
items, it makes 5 copies.
There is no setting for my mouse to change this in the control panel. I
looked everywhere in ppt to see if I could find how to change this.
I am a heavy user of graphics for my presentations and this is NOT working
for me.
Does anyone know how to fix this? HELP!

Right-clicking usually brings up a context menu. And right-clicking plus
moving brings up the box you describe. To select multiple objects, you
should simply left-click while pressing and holding the Shift- or the
Ctrl-key.
Best regards,
Ute
