PPT 2007 will not lock the draw tool

In version 2003 and earlier just double clicking a draw tool such as the line
or free form tool would lock it so I could use it multiple times without
having to reselect the tool each time I wanted to draw a second or third line
on the slide.

In version 2007 I found that if I right click the tool I get the option to
"Lock Draw Mode"  This seems to work for lines and shapes but it doesn't work
for the scribe, curve & free form tool.  I use the free form tool a lot and
this is a major problem for me.  Anyone know what is going on?  Anyone know
how to get these tools to lock?  Anyone know how to get MS to fix this?

Help!

same here. Although the option "Lock Drawing Mode" is available for
scribble, freeform or curves they cannot be locked. I guess it's bug -
either the locking shouldn't be available or it should work.

Yes I agree but how do we get the attention of MS high enough up to fix this
in the next patch?

It's been reported. I don't know that it will be fixed in the next service
pack, but it has been reported.

Hi Echo,

I'm afraid I've lost track of reported and not-reported problems...
