How do I edit background graphics?

Recieved a deck and unable edit the footer.  Appears to be in the background
graphics.  Is there a way to edit this?

Click View > Header and Footer.
Is the text inside the footer box?

If not, click View > Master > Slide Master.
Check to see if you can edit the footer from there.
If it cannot be clicked, the footer might be part of the background image.
If that's the case, then you will have to contact the original sender for any
amendments.
