How can I make the first few slides in a presentation cycle?

The environment is a church.  I'd like the first few slides of welcome and
announcements to repeat themselves over and over, and then on a click advance
to the first slide of the service.  From then on, it's a regular presentation.

I know I can do this with two separate presentations, but I'd like to avoid
the interruption of switching from one to the other.  It's awkward.
