What type of music file was it? The only files that are embed are WAV files depending on size and what you have set. All others are linked and have to travel with the presentation.

How was the file sent to you Originally? You will have to look on your work computer. You might want to ask whoever created the file to tell you what type of music file was inserted.

If you want to send me the presentation, I'd be more than happy to have a look at how it was inserted. If that's OK with y ou, send it to emko@hotmail.com using the same subject line.

I received your presentation, and the sound worked just fine. It is an embedded WAV file. Open the presentation in PowerPoint, click on the first slide, then click on the Animations Tab, and you will see it registered under Transition Sound:

Why it does not play on your computer may have something to do with your settings. I'm currently using Windows XP, and Office 2007 Ultimate.

I'm stuck for an answer. I don't know why it works on other systems, mine included and not yours. What plays WAV files on your system when they are played by them self?

In your email reply you indicated that your received a second version of the file, and this time it works. PowerPoint works in mysterious ways (LOL)

Vista needs additional codecs than what it shipped with.  I highly recommend
installing the "Vista Codec Pack" from
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Codec-Packs-Video-Codecs/Advanced-
Vista-Codec-Package.shtml
