I cannot get my sound to play in a presentation. I am using 2007   the music
is a midi file. I downloaded the media encoder but it stil doesnt seem to
work. I did everything right, can I assume I need to use a wav file?  The
music plays in media and when I check settings it is linked to the music.

Dorothy,

PPT *should* play it fine,  What version of Windows is this and do you have
your sound card set up to play midi files?  Oh one, more, make certain you
don't have a long file/path name to the midi, PPT has an issue with that.
