Can't view powerpoint slide show any ideas?

I cannot view pp on slide show on laptop but it works fine on projector had
to install new hard drive and re load xp and office any ideas?

Check in Slide Show > Set Up Show that it in not set to display on secondary
monitor. If it is - change to primary see if that works.

Did you re-install the video card driver? Can you view other programs on the
laptop? If yes:

Usually you can toggle between Projector only - Laptop only - Both with a
combination of Fn and one of the function keys, which is marked with a small
monitor symbol (in case of my HP laptop it's Fn+F4).
