How do you open and edit a presentation that was saved as a PP Show?

Go to "Office / Open", search for the PPSX-file and open it. But that seems
to be a bit too easy - maybe I misunderstood your question. Can you tell us
what problems you have opening a PPSX-file?

I find that opening a new Powerpoint, and drag the file in - down the left
side, usually works for me.

As well as what Pia said you might want to try

RIGHT click the icon and choose NEW from the menu.
