I would like ti change the size of the horizontal space betwwen 2 characters?

That would require "kerning", a new feature available only in PowerPoint 2007.

In 2007 you can do this using Home Tab > Font > Character Spacing

In other versions you can't really but you may be able to insert a space
between letters and change the font size for just the space. Tedious unless
it's only a short word or two unless you use a macro
