The original PPT is 24 mb.
And I am not convinced it's related to the pic over border thing anymore.
Odd thing is that it happened around p24 to p28 each time. the total
slideshow was about 78 pages.. I ended up chopping it into chunks and making
individual files of only a few slides. It seems like it's some kind of
corrupt file format issue. I've done it with a bunch of 60-80 page
presentations earlier. I don't know what it is, but sounds like the same
issue the person that posted earlier on this issue had.
I tried converting the whole PPT into a PPTx and back and it didn't matter.
But when I just chopped out the group of slides where the error occurred and
tried to duplicate it, no error...
I'd be happy to email someone the PPT if they want to try it... My
officemate also has office 2007 and she couldn't do it either. same issue. I
also tried making a PDF with distiller (CS2). Same issue.
with MS plugin, I performed the task by opening the PPT, selecting [office
button]/Save As/PDF or XPS/Options/Publish Options/Publish what/Notes
pages<ok>
-select "Minimum size (publishing online)" radio button<ok>
(left all other options on default)
then regardless of whether it worked or not, i have to close the PPT because
PPT2007 won't release the pagefile memory that it uses to make the PDF
otherwise.. and it uses a lot - like 500mb for a 5mb PPT...
As far as other problems with office2007, occasionally excel leaves parts of
my charts all over the place and I can't click on them. That got better when
I did a repair install after the initial install, but it hasn't stopped
completely.
Oh how I miss 2003...

I can't help with the PDF, except to mention that gradients and transparent
gradients often cause problems when converting to PDF (at least in my
experience).
But this...

I think that's a video driver issue. I'd update the video driver and turn
back hardware acceleration.

So does it look like it is a particular slide/group of slides causing the
issue? That seems to be what you're describing but I may have
misunderdstood. If so, try creating a new presentation and using the 're-use
slide' option from the new slide drop down. Or it may be related to the
content of those slides - what is on them? Particularly are there elements
that use gradients or transparencies? Or SmartArt? If you want to send me
the offending slides (but not the whole 24Mb please!) I would be happy to
have a look - lucy at aneasiertomorrow dot com dot au (make the obvious
changes).
OK page file stuff - hmmm, heard of it but it's not really my area, sorry.
:-)
For general Office issues, make sure you have a local printer driver
installed (I know it sounds odd but trust me, this solves all kinds of weird
issues):

Oh, and display issues may be cured with an updated video card driver or a
look at the hardware acceleration:
