Control pagination in Power Point as user can in Word

I want to be able to paginate slides according to sections within a single
file.  Thus, section one might have slides 1-5 and section two would have a
different set of slides numbered 1-8 -- all in the same file.

In one file there's no way to do this with standard PowerPoint features. You
could get a short vba module written which would detect the divider pages and
start numbering again from 1.
