I have an existing website that I wish to change to a powerpoint display.

I have created the powerpoint display , can anyone let me know how I can
upload it onto my website.

I am using Windows Vista and Powerpoint from Microsoft Office 2000
proffessional.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you want to display the PowerPoint presentation on your web site, so
people can click through the slides? That's the original method, and you can
do that by choosing File>Save as Web Page. However, there are some problems
with this -- mainly that your presentation may not appear properly,
especially in Firefox and other non-Internet Explorer browsers. A lot depends
on whether you have animation in the presentation.

If you just post the presentation itself, people with PowerPoint will be
able to open it in PowerPoint.  Basically, they'll be downloading the
presentation.

Sometimes the best solution is just a series of HTML pages, each showing a
slide, with a button to move to the next HTML page. You can save your
presentation's slides to JPG files by choosing File>Save As and choose JPEG
from the Save as Type drop-down list.

Another good solution is to save your presentation as an SWF file. For an
excellent list of software to do this, go to
www.masternewmedia.org/powerpoint_to_flash_conversion_tools. iSpring Free is
a free option for basic use. I found that it even captured animation well. Go
to www.flashspring.com

Hi sarnia,

If there are no animations and transitions in your PowerPoint
presentation, you can save your presentation as web page.
For PowerPoint2000, click 'File' -> 'Save As' -> 'Web Page (*.htm,
*.html)'.

If there are a lot of animations and transitions in your PowerPoint
presentation and you want to retain these, converting presentaion into
Flash will be a good choice. Right now, many softwares can do it
perfectly which retain all the effects of the presentation and also
have a much smaller file size. Such as PPT2Flash, powerflashpoint.
Go to http://www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-flash.html and try it.

Hope it can really help you.

You can convert Your PowerPoint to Video, and upload to some video
website like YouTube. Then you will get a code to embed the video into
your website or blog.

This tool can help you convert PowerPoint to video with animations,
transitions and audio track retained.
Make sure everything put in the same folder when converting PowerPoint
to video format.
