Does anyone know why the page numbering doesn't stay when opening in the 2007
ppt version?

Jessica,
What do you mean by does not stay? Are you opening a PPT 2003 file in PPT
2007. In that case you will see that PPT 2007 behaves differently than PPT
2003. In version 2007 you can select the slide numbering individually,
delete move or format it if necessary.
Or is it something else?

Yes I am opening a 2003 PPT in 2007 version.  The formatting is on the master
sheet (template sheets), but when viewing the actual document the page
numbers are not there.  When I go in to Header/footer the slide number or
page number boxes won't stay checked.  I have figured out that I can add it
through a text box on the master sheet.  My problem is though if we send this
out I would have to also send instructions to anyone that has 2007 how to add
page numbers back on?  There just has to be an easier way.....

Thanks for your response.
