All I need to do is adjust the paper size from standard to
legal (8.5x14) before I start work on my project.  I have
tried to adjust via print set up and on my printer, but
cannot.  Any suggestions?

Well, Pub 2001 is a new one on me. Let's assume that part is a typo.

Did you do a page setup first? If not, do that and make sure your printer is
then set for legal sized paper.
