For the merge to work you need one postcard on your screen, not four.
In page setup, select postcard...
Have you printed the postcards? If you have setup the page as described above and you
are looking at print preview it will show all 4 cards having the same data, it is a
bug.

I set it up with one page only, but when I do print preview, for mutiple
adresses per page, I just see the first one multiple times (4). Does this
mean I can't print the addresses then if I leave the (4) postcards attached
in the one sheet? Will I have to send them through 1 card at a time as
opposed to the sheet of 4 at a time?

In print preview when you see all the cards are the same it is a bug... Go to print,
there is a test print button, press it and print the test on plain paper.

Thanks Mary, but the bug seems to be printing out as it shows in print
preview. Any other suggestions?

The only other thing I can think could be wrong is the way your merge is setup. What
are you using as a database?
There are assistant articles you might want to read to be sure your merge is setup
correctly
Mail and catalog merge

Are you using a pre-designed Publisher postcard setup? This may be the problem. Start
a new postcard setup, copy/paste the objects from the designed postcard to your new
publication. The color may change but you can fix that with the color schemes task
bar.

The honest best answer to this question is to go into a word document and
then go to envelopes and labels. Pick the appropriate postcard size (Avery
makes one of everything...look it up online for the number that matches the
size you have, its always the manufactures number) anyway....create a new
blank document and then go to the mail merge wizard and pick labels. Then
follow the steps, enter your info, manuever it around so it looks right and
then pick edit on the last step and like magic all of the postcards will
have seperate addresses in each spot....Note: when entering the text for
your merge select "more options" not address block....it will not end up
straight otherwise.

So, basically, this is example 263,000 of Microsoft programs that don't work
with Microsoft programs. I have spent hours today trying to save 30 minutes
of handwriting invitations...but was so sure that this SHOULD work, that I
kept trying and reading...What I understand is that, basically, publisher
cannot print 4 different addresses (recipients) on 4 postcards that will be
printed on the same "sheet"?

What version Publisher are you using?
If you are using Publisher 2007, File, Print Merge, be certain "Multiple pages
per sheet" is selected.
Also you will have better luck with postcards if you choose an Avery template in
page setup.
