Hi.
The printer I am sending a job to asked if I could change the text to paths,
or create outline??  She said it would then look like little dot-to-dots.
I cant seem to find anything similar to that, does anyone know what they are
talking about, or offer suggestions?

My suggestion would be to talk to your printer and find out what she means.

You won't like my suggestion: Get another printer. It sounds like she
doesn't know what she needs/wants. That would make me wonder about the
quality of the print job.

Yes, maybe.  She did say she doesnt know anything about Publisher, and if
thats the best explanation I could get out of her, then maybe youre right.
Thanks

Changing text to paths is simply turning your text into a picture.

What she is saying is "can you convert the font information so that each character is not an independent graphic instead of a character in a font."

She wants it that way so there will be no problem with fonts not being available on her system when she opens your file.

HOWEVER, unless she has MS Publisher your doing this is completely irrelevant. She won't be able to open the file no matter what you do.

If She DOES have MSPub (and is just not familiar with it...which I do not suspect to be the case here), then you should use Pack N Go and that will resolve most font issues.
