hi everyone,

I set the margins for my magazine to be 0.25 inch.
However, after converting the file to PDF format using MS
pub imagesetter and adobe distiller 3.0, the margins turn
out to be over 1 inch on each side.

Any idea on how I can fix this?
Thanks a lot! ^_^

actually when i look at the .ps file, the each side
increased .50 inch in length. i used to hav the paper
size of 8.5 x 11, now i hav 9.5 x 12, so each margin
likes as if it's increased to .75 inch. i manually set
the printer paper size to 8.5 x 11 in ms pub and ms pub
imagesetter, but that doesn't help either...

any idea?
thx a lot

you have somehow told Publisher that you want to include crop marks,
registration marks, etc. in the output file.

Or you have chosen the "LetterExtra" paper size in the printer driver.

the 9.5 x 12 paper size is called "LetterExtra" and it's purpose is to allow
an addtiional half-inch all around for crops/regmarkx/etc.

there is a corresponding "LegalExtra: and "TabloidExtra" as well.
