I am creating a calendar for commercial printing.  When I try to save to PDF
for commercial printing, I get a "Publisher can not save this file".

Any ideas?

Any chance you have something like PrimoPDF installed on your system?

no, no other 3rd pary pdf programs.

I did the office diagnostics and it didn't find any problems.

I'd be tempted to try downloading Primo and checking whether that program
can create a .pdf file with it or not.

The only message you get is that it can't save the file?

yes, the only message I get is "publisher can not save the file" with an OK box

I have vista and downloaded primo- tried the workaround in their support
page and still no luck.

The file is to large to send...

I was able to save/publish/print (whichever terminology is correct) it into
4 different pdf files which my commercial printer says he thinks shall work.

thanks for the help.  I'll keep an eye on the page to see if anyone comes up
with a solution.

Publisher 2007's "high quality" PDF is your best bet. Don't save it out with
the "commercial" settings. It makes more of a mess of things than it's
worth.
