It is a link to a Microsoft Knowledge Base article.

Do you have the service pack for Office 2003?
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx
There was a hot fix concerning the Assistant
Description of the Microsoft Office 2003 post-Service Pack 1 Hotfix Package:

Service Pack 2 for Windows XP is not Service Pack 1 for Office.

You need to go to the link Mary gave
(http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx) and run the
updater tool.  It should do all the work automagically for you.

Have you talked to your in-house Help desk about this? It sounds like your
system isn't looking for the right directory or your IT staff decided that
you did not need this feature.

This problem is on your home computer? Do you have the Office disks?

No this is the problem I think...my engineer took it away to clean and
upgraded the office from 2001 to 2003...but didn't leave me any discs

Wait - you have Office on your personal computer but you don't have the
disks? That tells me that either your "engineer" stole your property or that
you could be running an illegal copy of Office. I'd suggest asking the
"engineer" about this.

If you own the computer and you bought it loaded with certain program, you
own those disks. If you don't have possession of them, I'd suggest asking
for them first. If the "engineer" refuses for any reason, then he violated
Microsoft's laws. How you want to deal with that is up to you. I think you
will find the MS does not take these things lightly.
