I'm helping a friend who has a newsletter in Publisher and wants to print it
with 2 pages on 11 x 17 paper, printed front and back. So there would be a
total of 4 pages printed on each sheet of paper. We've tried to change
settings in page setup and then in printer properties. It prints like we want
it to, but it prints a reduced size. The actual size of each page is 8½ x 11
and if printed on letter size paper it prints correctly. But printed on the
larger paper like we want it is reduced about 20% leaving a large border all
around it. We have the printer options set to print original size. Can
someone help us?

Do you have the publication setup as a booklet? You must setup the printer first to
tabloid (11x17) landscaped, then setup your page as a booklet.
Instead of using the current publication, create a new setup, copy and paste from the
old into the new.

So are you saying the actual page in Publisher is set up wrong?  We have set
the printer for 11x17 landscaped and the page as a booklet.  It all prints
out exactly in the correct place on the paper.  The only problem is that the
entire page is reduced in size.  I'm a new use, so I'm just learning, but my
friend has been using Publisher for quite some time and has done these
newsletters before without any problems.  That's why he is so confused that
suddenly it's not printing out correctly.

What model printer are you using? Is there a Zoom Smart feature? Is it turned on to
print on smaller stock?
