I want to make a 36 page A5 booklet using Microsoft Publisher, printing back
to back.

Good for you!  Go for it!

Seriously, do you actually have a question?  If you do, you failed to ask
it.

I would suggest posting in the main microsoft.public.publisher newsgroup,
too, unless you happen to want to create this booklet using VBA or another
COM-compatible language.  That is what this newsgroup is for.
