counter help please

Hi how are you, I have a question I run publisher 2002, i am creating
invoices is there any way I can add counters to this invoices so that there
is a an automatic number generated please help

Mail merge... Setup a data base with consecutive numbers.

You can do this within Publisher, tools, mail merge, create new list. (This is
the hard way).
If you have Excel
http://msauer.mvps.org/misc.htm
If you have Access, create table by entering data, type your first number, use
the down arrow key, type your second number, using the down arrow key, Access
will automatically input consecutive numbers. You can delete the unused columns.

In Publisher, open the merge wizard, browse to the data.

If you do have Excel or Access and you cannot figure it out, send me a message
with your start and end numbers and I will create the data for you.
