Hello!

I created a certificate in publisher. Now, I need to create a high
resolution PDF file. This file is going to be sent to a commerical
printer.

Next, the certificate needs to be fill in the blank and only those
parts that are filled in will print on the pre-printed certificates.
There are some additional requirements:
1. The items to be filled in are: Name, Number, Nationality, and Date.
2.. He requested a pull down area for the certificate.
    a. The blackbelt degree. The roman numerals at the bottom of the page,
by the seal should be roman numerals 1-10. When he picks one of those
numerals. The information in the paragraph will change to correspond to
the degree.
I (appears under seal)  the paragraph will read "a First Dan (I
degree)"
II (appears under seal)  the paragraph will read "a Second Dan (II
degree)"
III (appears under seal)  the paragraph will read "a Third Dan (III
degree)"
IV (appears under seal)  the paragraph will read "a Fourth Dan (IV
degree)"
V (appears under seal)  the paragraph will read "a Fifth Dan (V
degree)"
VI (appears under seal)  the paragraph will read "a Sixth Dan (VI
degree)"
VII (appears under seal)  the paragraph will read "a Seventh Dan (VII
degree)"
VIII (appears under seal)  the paragraph will read "an Eighth Dan
(VIII degree)"
IX (appears under seal)  the paragraph will read "a Ninth Dan (IX
degree)"
X (appears under seal)  the paragraph will read "a Tenth Dan (X
degree)"

3. Remove the president and Honorary President name so it will print
blank with the other certificates. Make the current names a pull down
menu like the rest of the certificate.

The catch is that the Roman Numerals were created with WordArt so they
can be made fatter, blue, with a thick black border around them.

I need help. I don't know if this can be done in publisher or this be
converted to some other platform.

If you want to look at the certfiicate I can send you a copy.

Thanks!
Melody

Publisher isn't going to create a pull-down unless the file is converted to a
web page and then you will have to find a HTML script to create the pull-down.

How many certificates are you publishing? Can you use mail merge for all but the
roman numerals?

If you use a mail merge, in step 5 of the Mail and Catalog wizard you can create
a publication which will have all the certificates in one file. You can manually
add the roman numerals.

I can look at your certificate, maybe I can get some idea how to set it up for
your printer.
