How do I enter code into the web page I am constructing in a SPECIFIC place in the already written code?

Use Notepad. In Notepad change the type of files to open to html and be
sure to save as html.

thanks for you reply. I already have that information though, and what I need to know is how do I actually get the code into the publisher html code EXACTLY where I want it. I have only found a little wizzard called "html code fragment" in 'insert', but that only lets me put it on the page and not insert the code exactly where I need it to be...in other words...where can I get access to the actual code to change it..I appreciate your advice.

The html frag is how you add custom html to the html output. Refer to
http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=30
Draw the fragment box on the page in the approximate location you want it
just you like draw a text box. You can move and size it just like a text
box. You should size the box to about the size of the actual rendered
content to improve accuracy in placement.
That is the limit of the control. Publisher includes your code when it
writes it's own code so final output may vary and require some
experimentation.
Publisher is not an html editor and so does not offer any access to html
code. Which is actually irrelevant because the code does not exist yet so
how could you access it? The html is not written until Publisher generates
the html files output during the 'save as web'.

If you understand html well enuff, you can manually edit the html using notepad.
You can stick the changes exactly where you want them, and make any kind of
change to the Publisher generated code. I use notepad to stick in things like
spider instructions and page fades all the time. BUT, Publisher has no way to
know you have made changes, and you will have to make them each and every time
you make changes to the page in Publisher since it will generate new code
without your mods. Best bet...get out of Publisher for web work while you still
can easily do so. It is a piece of crap.

HTML.
