I am using Publisher 2002 and I want to insert a hyperlink to an .mpg file.
I cannot get it to work.

Thanks

First verify your computer will play mpg files by using any mpg file and
double click on it. If it plays continue on, if not, you need to fix
(reinstall Windows Media Player).

OK, you can play mpg files.
Upload the mpg file to the same location as all the html and gif files.

In you web site page create something like this, "Look at this MPG" (without
quotes) highlight it with your mouse and click on Insert Hyperlink.  Type in
your web site address and mpg file name, i.e.,
http://yourwebsite.com/~yourlogon/mpgfile.mpg
The ~yourlogon may be different in your case.

You are invited to look at my web site and the look at the properties of one
of the song links.  Pick a single word title, i.e., Inammorata on the Il
Messaggio Archives page. (Multi worded titles will have alpha numeric
entries to represent the spaces in the titles. It may confuse the issue).

My site, "The Wine Cellar" is at:
