Converting/migrating Publisher 2003 to Frontpage

I am having trouble trying to convert a web design created
in Publisher 2003 to FrontPage 2003.  I have tried all the
import and export methods.  When importing from Pub to FP
I only get two files to show up private and images, but
they are empty.  Any suggestions will be greatly
appreciated.

P.S.  If anyone can figure a faster way to edit in Pub
from the web without having to make all changes in Pub and
then uploading the index and web page file will also be
appreciated.

Thanks.

private and images are FP web default folders. Doesn't sound to me like you
imported the html files from Publisher.
Note, I recommend against converting Publisher html into FP.
Publisher's method is to edit the pub file since it is not an html editor
nor a web design tool both of which FP is.

Welcome to the club.  M$'s lie that you can easily migrate from Publisher to FP
is the main reason I hang around this forum.  It is the vain hope that M$ will
do the right thing and solve this problem that keeps me here.  You should be
aware that there is a brewing class action lawsuit some lawyers are working on
to address M$'s continuing misrepresentations about using Publisher for
webpages.  I heard today that they have decided on who the class
representative(s) will be.

They must not have informed the Publisher division of the Publisher lawsuit.

Of course they have not, and will not until it is filed and M$ is served.  I am
not supposed to even be talking about it, but I plan to withdraw from the class,
assuming the thing gets that far.  These things never provide any real relief to
the regular class members, except sometimes there is injunctive relief or a
consent decree where the defendant must address a problem.  But in direct
relief, the class members typically get a coupon or a couple of bucks, or some
such crap.  So I will withdraw form the class to preserve my rights to pursue
the matter independently if time ever permits.

Your comment wreaks of sarcasm, but indicates you know little about the class
action lawsuit process.

No sarcasm. Upon further investigation (based on your claims) , I had
indeed contacted the proper contacts in the Publisher division to find
out if there is such a pending case. Indeed, there was none.

As for class action lawsuit process, I have a 4.0 in all of my law
classes in college (and I aced our *Class Action Lawsuit* mock project.
I am *very* informed.

M$ could not know about it unless they saw the original request for potential
class members.  One such request was in this forum, and in fact the class
representative is a party that found out about the proposed litigation in this
forum.  Until the action is filed, of course M$ is unaware of it.  There is no
duty to notify a potential defendant prior to filing a civil action.  In fact,
it is generally unwise to do so when dealing with a very aggressive outfit like
M$.  When will it be filed?  Heck if I know; they have been talking about it for
months and months.  Maybe they are waiting for the next release of Publisher to
see just how much worse the next version will be for web applications.  I know
the attorneys lurk in here (or have somebody who checks this forum) since they
have gotten on my a.s about my big mouth.
