How do I link animations to start after previous animation?

I am trying to set up two items; one, a "click to open" button so that an
animation starts on the same web page and does not take you to another page,
and two, how to link several animations on that page so that they start
sequentially after the first animation is through and so on.

I would appreciate any feedback. I am though, disappointed in having to post
a technical question/request on a community forum. I have searched help
databases on many MS programs I have purchased. For what customers pay for
programs and the assistance they receive from the "corporation," well ....
freebie tech help on forums for the "corporation," is money in Bill's pocket

What version of Publisher is this?
What kind of animation is this? a gif? a video file?
Are you linking to the file or inserting it?
