I have a Publisher 2003 file that I am trying to save as a Publisher 2000 version. I get a message box that states there is a picture that is too large to be saved to previous versions of Publisher. However, there are no large pictures on any of the pages. What can be causing this? Are all the objects grouped? Are there any OLE objects? Any large objects in the scratch area or the Master Page that you are forgeting about? What can be causing this? Thank you David for replying. Unfortunately, I have explored all of these possibilities and the problem is still there. In fact, after deleting the page that claimed to have a picture too large for saving to an earlier version of Publisher, I tried saving again and this time received the same message box. Except this time the message box claimed a picture was too large on a page that did not exist (Page 17 of a 16 page document.) If you don't see the problem then it's likely file corruption at fault. What you can try in that case is to save as the file to the .mht file format. What can be causing this? Thank you again David. Yes, it is NAV, in fact earlier today I noticed when opening the Publisher file it required a font substitution for a font I was not using. I chose to print the file from there and I received a message that some of NAV's dll's were missing or corrupt. This leads me to believe it's Norton's AV. I'll give your suggestions a try. I have been recommending to my clients and to Publisher customers that use Norton AV to remove that product asap and replace it with AVG for a couple of years now. Which is about how long ago the Publisher MVP's in cooperation with the Microsoft Publisher Product team determined that Norton AV was hazardous to Publisher customers. I had the same problem but overcame it by selecting "save as " and just saving as publisher file, not as a specific version of publisher.
