I can not find any info on properly inserting a java photo slideshow applet
in my webpage.
So far I've only used things that could be inserted using the html code
insert tool.
This applet seems to need to be inserted into the directory with my webpage
files or something (so that it can find the pictures associated with the
applet).  But when I try to embed them  (as intructed) from the applet
software into my page it only gives me the choice of inserting into an html
file ext. in it's drop down file ext. menu.  Which of course will not pull up
my pub files as an option.  I've tried to use a 'packed' version of my web
site but that didn't work either.  How do I get my applet files into my
webpage since they are not simple html code fragments and my page is not an
html document until uploaded) ????

Security concerns pretty much killed use of java applets a long time ago but
if my long-term memory is correct there is a snippet of code that goes in
the html page that then runs the java code files.
So that would mean you simply upload the java files to the server and then
use a html code fragment to insert the code snippet (that runs the java code
files) on the web page and then publish the web page.
