The pc in question is not a server. The website is
www.askpcwizards.com
Again, 2 of my 3 machines display this website correctly. The pc that fails
to
display correctly is the machine I developed the website on.
The text "computer wizards" thru the number 7569, which you see at the top
of your screen, is displayed at the bottom of my page. If I highlight that
section,
3 transparant blue shaded rectangular objects appear overlayed on my text.
The first shape is shaped like the "computer wizards through text 7569" dual
text boxes are shaped.
The other two are shaped like my other 2 pictures.
The boxes are positioned 9 or 10 text lines down from where the pictures
should be displayed.
On the rest of the pages (example)
http://www.askpcwizards.com/index_files/Page266.htm
The pictures AND the backgrounds and font definitons, etc... are all
missing.
The two laptops access my local copy via a "shared" directory, so all
three machines are viewing the same source, whether it be on
my hard drive, or on the web at www.askpcwizards.com!
Thank you for your time!

in the browser that you state you have a display issue, be sure to clear the
internet cache and then refresh the page view on www.askpcwizards.com. Then
make a screen shot of the page and send the screen shot to
dbartosik@mvps.org for review.
In the message state what browser and version is being used and what the PC
screen resolution is set to.

I did an option by option comparison of my web brower options.
The only thing I could find was that the BAD version didn't have
a microsoft VM component in its list of advanced options. Could this be
my problem?
How do I add this component?
Thanks
PS: I sent you the pictures you asked for.

There is no MS VM anymore. The VM is only needed for running Java programs.
If you want it you now obtain it from www.java.com
As for any images bring sent, I've not received anything.

I sent the pictures to you on Nov 23.
I just resent them to the same address.
Please let me know if you got them.
There are 3 emails. (2 sets of pictures, and a question about VML)
Thanks

another clue:
If I enable VML and PNG, all of the text boxes appear in the right spot
rather than jumbled. but the pictures are still missing, again, only on
one machine.
Have you received my emails?
THANKS

It turns out that ANY use of the AutoShapes feature in office caused the same
problems. Since noone has responded, I re-wrote it using frontpage.
