I am still looking for assistance in publishing my site made with Pub 03. I
still recieve the error: "Publisher could not save the file to the Web.
Check your URL or network connection and try again."  I totally remade the
web site, changed a few things done wrong in the intial version, and I get
the same result. I downloaded the FTP Editor, "WS_FTP PRO", I can upload the
entire site, but only the home page appears. Links off the nav bar do not
work. I deteleted the nav bar, placed actual links to the other pages and it
still doesn't work. I am desperately looking for assistance, my site has been
down for 2-3 weeks. I'm almost to the point of getting another design program.

Follow up to my original post...   I have been in contact with my host
provider, they state my site is not working correctly because my pages point
to a location on my computer. Here is what they said:

1. Kindly debug your coding to the following:

Your Code: href="C:/Documents and Settings/Dan/My
Documents/wwwroot/index_departmentInfo.htm">

Example: href="\index_departmentInfo.htm">

How do I achieve this? Here is how I try to publish, since I can't do it
directly from Pub, as earlier posted, I  go to Publish to the web, local
folder on hard drive selected, FTP Editor used to move from local folder to
ftp site.

I need help....

Dinger, In case you haven't figured it out yet, you are inserting hyperlinks
to your C or hard drive, not to where the files/pages are located on the
web. Perhaps if you read this article by David Bartosik about building a
site with multiple Publisher 2000 files, you will get a better idea of how
to insert hyperlinks, whether you use a NavBar or a textual navbar. It is
easy to get confused:

Dinger, Perhaps review the article by David Bartosik at:

http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=324

for a good description of how to upload Publisher 2003 sites.

I have receivied your file.
I am currently behind in customer requests for personal assistance.
I expect to review yours shortly and will respond at that time.

The issues in this post would be due to your not publishing thru Publisher
and not understanding what is needed as a result of that.

As for your original issue... I have reviewed your publisher file and was
surprised to find mistakes on pages 7, 21, and 25. I thought you'd already
reviewed my FAQ - http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=30 - and
thus would have eliminated this already.

The item you'll find on the FAQ, 7th from the bottom, is the mistake on 3 of
your pages. Correct this issue on these 3 pages as documented on the FAQ
item and then resave and republish the site in Publisher.
