My website is slow and is only 9 pages...

Is this the hosting service I'm using or is this common to publisher-created
websites?

Thank you

If you have a lot of graphics, this will slow it down considerably.

By graphics, are you also talking about links between pages?

Rick,

If you posted a link to your site, this could get you a better response.
(Not that there's anything wrong with Don's answer but he could be more
specific if he could see your site..)

Opens fast enough for me. Believe me - if I think a site takes a long time,
I'd let you know. I have no patience these days.

By the way - your page title is "mmtstrategy.com<br>Home of the MMT Timing
Models!-"  Seems like you need to do a little editing there.

Whips open pretty fast here.  I'm on a DSL circuit.

Rick, It appears that you are using Publisher 2003, yes? If so, then the
pages are going to load slower, and especially images. Using a dial-up
modem, the text loaded fairly quickly, but the images took a while.

MS has issued a partial solution - Compress graphics files to create smaller
Web site files:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011266301033.aspx

Also, if I remember correctly, David Barosik has suggested disabling the VML
and Ping options before generating the HTML code, as another way to improve
the performance. I can't seem to find that information right now, but
perhaps David will read this and comment?

The number and size of the .gif files.  Some of these can get pretty big
which takes time to load.
