Just so you know I have felt this pain since 2002 was in beta 1. To this day
I continue to meet with MS to voice such concerns.

And how have they responded to your concerns? I often wonder if they listen
to user suggestions that are sent in because I have sent in a number. Do
they also make use of the error messages that are automatically sent to
Microsoft?

Steven,
Please don't take this wrong but they *know* who David is. They don't know
you from..... well, me. Anonymity can be good thing.

I can't speak of the first inquiry but as for the error messages I can tell
you those are extremely important and are taken very very seriously. It is
very important to send those in as they determine to a very large extent
what goes in a service pack or patch or new version and it's prioritized by
how many come in on an issue. Almost every meeting I have with MS they speak
of the issues that have been coming in, it is a serious priority to them.
Knowing this I hate it when someone tells me they don't send them.
