Dear All

I have created an ebook and fornatted it to pdf. which I have uploaded to my
server, and there is no problem when you click on the link on my webpage, it
opens fine. What I would like to know is:

Can I add a code so that when people click on my link they are asked whether
they would like to open the pdf, or save it.

The url of the page is

http://www.eeafederation.com/index_files/Leaflet_Download_and_Request.htm

Thank you

nope.
if the adobe reader is installed on their system then it will load the
document via it's browser plug-in.
you could put a textual instruction next to the link however that states
something to the effect that to download the file they can right click the
link and select save.
though it's been my experience that even someone with just limited knowledge
of Adobe Reader knows that all they do it click the save icon on the Reader
toolbar when it's loads the document.
something else you can do is offer 2 links, one the pdf link and the other
being for a zip file where you zipped the pdf, the zip file will prompt for
downloading. Since Windows XP has zip/unzip support built-in most users have
knowledge of how to unzip a file.\

Hi there,

Recently I started working with Publisher 2003 to create my webpage. I dont
have any knowledge about coding in HTML.

I uploaded some pdf and zip files on the ftp server and added their link on
the webpage but its not working.

Ofcourse if I am logged in to my ftp server then it asks to save the file
else it doesnt work at all.

Can anyone tell me how to make it work?

Thanks in advance
Shankar
