What's with the attitude? Geez.
Well anyway, let's take this one step at a time nice and slow....
1. "I" can confirm your site has FPSE installed because the following URL
http://www.robwaite.co.uk/_vti_inf.html
creates a confirmation page.
2. Now it's your turn, can "you" confirm that "you" published the web site
in the HTTP protocol and only the HTTP protocol as clearly indicated in item
2 of the (supposedly dreadful) Publisher FAQ and fully detailed on page
http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=102 ?

I think the proper answer should have been, "Chill, dude!"

ThanK You, Thank You, Thank You I have been getting my butt kicked all day
with this same issue. My host customer rep did not know what could be done. I
was about to call my PC manufacturer, but thanks to this post and the FAQ's
I have learned a whole heap. Great contributions.
Now I just have to ensure that the form gets to my email.
http://wwwgriffsservices.com , a couple of things to work out on the site
still, but the form issue was the killer.
Thanks again

I have developed a website using Publisher 2003
(http://home.comcast.net/~sxmlady) . The site includes a web form on the last
page for customers to complete & email thier responses to me. I know the form
properties are correct; however, the SUBMIT button won't work. I have enabled
Front Page Ext. thru Comcast but understand that for the Ext to work, the
files must be uploaded in HTTP format....but as far as I know, Comcast only
offers FTP uploading. After numerous phone calls to and many hours of
troubleshooting with, no one at Comcast or Microsoft seems to know how to
combat this problem.
I've researched the problem on both Comcast & Microsoft sites, and I've
followed your posted instructions....clearly I'm missing something. Every
other component of my site works fine--it's just the submit button. I realize
I need to upload it in http format, but that doesn't seem to be an option
with Comcast. I've been trying to resolve this for weeks and am at my wits'
end!! Can you provide ste-by-step instructions?
Thanks, jl

If you have FrontPage extensions on your account then you have HTTP
publishing. You must be getting host support with no knowledge of FrontPage
extensions. But then ISP's don't make the best host's, it's just not their
business. But anyway, with FPSE running all you do is follow my http
publishing article.
However, it seems you do not have them installed. Or perhaps they are
corrupted and need to be reinstalled.
Because I cannot access the FPSE config page that confirms the successful
install of FPSE.
Browse to http://home.comcast.net/~sxmlady/_vti_inf.html - and it's a no
page found error. Compare that to what you see at this URL -

Thanks for the reply, but, frankly, I don't understand what I'm supposed to
do. I had already followed all of your steps about publishing using http thru
Publish to the Web on Pub 2003, but I kept getting error msgs. As for
installing Front Page Ext, all I know to do is to go into the Comcast site &
click the enable Front Pg Ext button. Comcast confirmed that they are
enabled. As I'm sure you can tell, this is all pretty Greek to me

Perhaps if you knew how to spell, write coherently and read directions, you
might find David's articles and FAQs as helpful as most people. And you
expect help you with your attitude?

SUBMIT button won't work for Web pages - 18 Mar 2005 16:31 GMT
I too seem to have the same disease as several of you with regard to getting
a form to work. I am using Publisher 2000 and am trying to get a one line
form box to return the e-mail address of our customers. All is well except
the customer is asked for a login name and password!!! Don't want that. My
site provider has added the FrontPage Server Extensions. I am uploading using
only HTML. (My web site provider thinks that MS Publisher forms do not work,
and that I must resort to using FrontPage?)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Please add me to the list of the people who can't get the submit button to
work on my form. I spent all day on the phone with Comcast (my ISP) and
APlus ( my Web Hosting) and no one seems to know how to resove this. I've
read all the FAQs sheets and tried them. Below is my webpage...

David Bartosik [MSFT MVP] - 24 Sep 2005 21:24 GMT
as covered on the FAQ - http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=30 -
I was able to confirm that FPSE is installed by successfully browsing to
http://www.somethingsetapart.com/_vti_inf.html
As covered on the FAQ page and the trouble-shooting article both at
http://www.publishermvps.com - that means there are two possibilities left.
1- you did an ftp upload instead of http. 2. the extensions need to be
reinstalled by host support.
