I have designed 2 websites. 1 with and 1 without frames.I have reported them
to several search engines such as google. Now, after more than 3 months,
they still don't show up when I give in words that are in those sites.
In the site with frames I have included in the page that defines the frames
a body and a /body tag in between which I have put words that are in the
site.
What could I possibly be doing wrong?

What version of Microsoft Publisher are you using?

For webdesign I use Stone's webwriter version 3.5. For uploading I use
WS_FTP95`.

really? then why are you in a forum of Microsoft's that is for supporting
Microsoft's customers of Publisher that use Publisher to create a web site?
and posting questions that have zero relevance to Publisher?
I'd suggest you google for a general webmaster's forum, or better yet google
on your question, which in turn would lead you to appropriate forums.

What is the purpose of your site? (This has *no* effect on the search
engine. I'm just curious.)

My site is about the young players of a soccerteam.
My other site is about me. I hope for reactions of people I have known in
the past (http://home.planet.nl/~molen148/)

It seems like you have a somewhat small target audience. Often you won't
show up in a search engine until "enough people" inquire about something in
your site. Please don't ask me how many is "enough people". That's
definitely not my field.

Quite a lot. What you need to get the sites in an index is a link to
them from a site that's already in the index and regularly spidered.

Jaap,

If the content on the 2 versions of the site is identical, that may be
causing you problems.  Some search
engines consider duplicate content sites to be a form of spam. It can
also sometimes take between 3 and
6 MONTHS for some search engines to pick you up.

To verify that you are in the search engines, try typing your domain
name (or part of it) in the search field
(i.e. since my site is digitalrainmakers.com, I would type
'digitalrainmakers' OR 'digitalrainmakers.com' --
although some search engines, like Google, support the /inurl/ search
function which tells it to look for your
search term in URLs only.  In that case you would type:

inurl:yourdomainname.com

You may not be showing up for search terms simply because your site may
not be optimized well enough for
it to rank well.

I just opened up a message board that focuses on search engine
optimization, improving ranking, etc... if
you want to pop on over there and take a look, post questions, etc...
The URL is in my sig at the bottom
of this post.

Cheers!

Cynthia
