I'm a newbie using 2002.  My pages work but seem to be around 350K in size.
It looks like a lot of font stuff in the file.  Is this normal?  Is there
some way to reduce the size?  The site is www.infomodo.com.

This is fully documented on http://www.publishermvps.com
Visit our site to learn more about 2002 and review the FAQ -

You'll also find the link to Office XP service pack 3 - which you must
install.
After you install SP3 then delete the old site files and create new ones
using File, Export as web page.

I'm running 2002 SP3 which I'm assuming means service pack 3 - correct me if
I'm wrong.

Also, Ilooked through the FAQ but couldn't find anything relevant, which
specific question are you referring to?

that was in reference to you being able to learn other common issues that
you may or may not know yet.

if you are at SP 3 (next time include full version number) then the next
logical question is... are you using File, Export as web page?
