I am creating an on-line store via Publisher. One of my pages is for the sale
of "seconds" or inferior products. I do not have any seconds to sell right
now but would like to use that page to collect email address for future sales
announcements.

Is there a way for me to collect email addresses via Publisher? I would like
to take shoppers who click on the "seconds" button to a page that says, "we
have no seconds at this time, please leave your email and we will notify you
when seconds are available"

Can I? If so, how?

Thanks!
Meredith

Meredith,

Is there some reason just leaving that message on the Seconds page along
with an email link or form wouldn't work? You would be rebuilding the page
when you actually had some product anyway, and perhaps it could be a
permanent feature of that page...something like "be the first to hear of new
shipments of Seconds...email me now"?

Hi Merdith

Have you considered using a simple form where they input their email address
and press send?

for future reference in making a good post-
don't really need this info, the important thing to state is what version of
Publisher you are using.

this is the important stuff. what you want is a form. Publisher provides
plenty of form page templates. If you want a custom form page or just want to
add a form to a page then you build the form with the form controls on the
Insert menu. A basic form is made of text box controls for the user input and
a submit button. Each control needs to be "programmed" via it's properties
(right-click control). For details see Publisher Help.

Before you proceed I recommend you review the FAQ at

mistakes.

you can either add a custom form to a page with this statement or simply add
this statement to a form template.
