I've been trying to design a web page in Publisher 2000.  I can get features
like hit counters, search boxes and drop-down menus in Frontpage, but not in
Publisher 2000.  Is there any way to do this?

Publisher is not FrontPage, please read -
http://www.publishermvps.com/WebDesign/tabid/29/Default.aspx
Publisher has no dynamic features, please read -
http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=30
An option is 3rd party services like http://www.bravenet.com/
