I have created a webpage in Publisher, but when Google's computers crawl my
page, they do not register the content on my page.  Instead the content gets
stored as a bunch of computer code.  therefore my listing on Google does not
refer to the title and description of the page as I have it saved in
Publisher.

Is there a way to have my webpage be more google friendly?

the web address is endless-satsang.com and the search terms that bring up
the faulty listing are satsang and Nirmala.

Interestingly, the second page of my website does show up properly on
google, it is just my home page that goole does not read correctly

I can tell from the code (as explained on my page
http://www.publishermvps.com/WebDesign/tabid/29/Default.aspx ) that you are
using version 2003 in the deprecated version 2002 XML mode. You need to stop
using "File, Save as, [file type] Web Page" when publishing the site. Only
publish the web publication using "File, Publish...". You can find
directions at
http://www.publishermvps.com/WebDesign/Version2003/tabid/33/Default.aspx .
Also make sure you went into web options on each page in the publication and
set the keywords and description. You need to delete the current site files
and republish the new files. Also you should have Service Pack 1 installed
and use the image optimizer tool it introduced in order to improve image
load speed. That is documented on our site. Also review the FAQ
http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=30 to find out other "gotta
knows".
