Where do I save my enlarged pictures and how do they follow?

I wand people to be able to click on the pictures on the website -and for a
bigger picture to appear larger in a pop up? How do I do this? this is my
first attempt so please no jargong. I understand that I have to create a
link, but in what format do I save the enlarged picture and more importantly
-WHERE do I save them and HOW do they follow when I post the website??????
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Starting to get desperate! Thanks Cissi
