After a fair amt of research, and a local computer geek's help, I managed to
create my new website in Publisher (and actually have a reasonable amount of
fun doing it!). My main desire was to make regular updates MYSELF,
particularly with exhibits and classes.
Ok, so I got a bit carried away with 50+ pages (and forgot to use lower res
images for the web...) but now I'm having challenges in the updates.
I really only want to change or update the home page and the exhibit page --
but am not clear on the procedure, and am nervous about screwing up my entire
site.
I have also tried to do a "save as" with an updated file name for an updated
website, but each time I do that, the nav bars especially get messed up.
Subsequently, I haven't updated since July!!
How do I just update TWO pages without touching the rest?
thanks! laurie

Assuming you are using Publisher 2003 then you can take advantage of a new
feature: incremental uploading. Refer to:

If you are using Publisher 2000, you can structure your site so as to have
separate pages.

You keep the Home page on its own (ie. a single page Publisher website) and
do the same with your exhibit page or pages (if several exhibit pages, make a
multiple-pages separate Publisher website).

Pages not requiring updating are kept in a third Publisher website. Note
that all websites other than the Home page website must be uploaded complete
in their folder which must be given a specific name.

You'll need to carefully address the links on all 3 websites, because all
three will have an Index page, and those with multiple pages will each have a
page 2, 3, etc...

The menu links will have to include the name of your site ie.:
"sitename.com/foldername/index-or-pagenumber.html"
