Exactly what does it mean when I try to publish via "http" and I get the
message "unable to locate URL "http://website.com"?  I think my server does
support http... but I'm trying to get to the bottom of it... unfortuantely my
server's HELP section is pitiful.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are several good articles by David Bartosik that should answer your
questions about publishing your site here:

I'm not sure if that's your problem, but I publish without an ftp.

I "Edit>Select -all" on my file to-be-published then hit the "copy" icon,
then open my site file on the server and hit the "paste" icon on that file.

Hope it helps
